Whoops. Didn't see answers. If its burnt its probably bad but iv seen a ton of them and never seen one melted. Plus one for getting a new harness. Don't be to unhappy when you find out how much ordeal of changing it costs though. Remove ecu and turn the little knob all the way forward for a few seconds and then all the way back. You will be looking for 5 long flashes and 5 short indicating 55 no codes.
